I am making a thank you gift for the room moms and grandmas at school. Also for a couple of elderly friends.
I take a pair of garden gloves and attach a package of flower seeds and a note that I have in the shape of a small hand. Then I punch a hole in the glove with a hole punch and the corner of the seed packet and the paper hand I made. I connect it all with a ribbon and give it to the moms or dads and sometimes a neighbor or someone else. It's simple and cute.
