Paper Bag Whale

you'll need

  • brown lunch bag
  • newspaper (about 2 pages) or old magazines pages (about 4 pages)
  • rubber band
  • construction paper in blue, gray or white, you will need white for the spout
  • glue or paste
  • paint, blue, gray or white
  • paintbrush
  • scissors
  • black marker

Crumple newspaper and stuff into paper bag.
Twist the end of the bag and seal it with the rubber band, this is the tail.
Cut out flukes, dorsal fin and flipper out of construction paper and glue to bag (see picture).
Paint the bag the color you want for your whale.
Let dry.
Roll white construction paper into a cylinder and tape closed.
Using scissors cut slits about half way down the cylinder.
Attach to the dry whale.
Add eyes with a black marker.
